Soccer Mom

I'm officially a soccer mom. I got the mini-van prematurely but as of this week, our little (BIG) guy started his first season of soccer. He missed the cut-off last year which was probably a good thing for him. His maturity level hasn't always been on par with his age group. :)
The other little guy thought he was hot stuff as well and toted his new ball from Grandma to the practice. The coach kept thinking he was one of the players. He looked about their size but he'll have to wait another year. When the coach told the kids to pick up their balls and walk over to the goal, Luke just did what everyone else did and followed the group with his ball. It was sad to tell him that he had to stay with us. He was a good sport though. The practice went well (sigh of relief) and the coach was great with the kids. Ian shouted across the field at one point, "Dad- I'm doing really good!" with a thumbs up, in the middle of her explaining the soccer rules. It was precious.

Yesterday was fun. It was a rainy day and we stayed inside and did what you do on rainy days.....rock painting. (Thanks to Sidota for the birthday present!)

Then my good friend Becky, stopped by and spent the night as she was driving through town. It was great to see her and spend some time with her. Ian tried to convince us that she needed to sleep with her in case someone bad would try to get him. I'll upload the pics later. Gotta go for now.....

So precious. They are growing so fast! Good idea with the rock painting, too! You are so creative. I'm totally going to do that when Noah figures out how to hold a brush... ;)

Adorable - Ian, Luke, and the soccer mom. I'm sure Jeremy was also looking adorable...

It must be nap time for your kids too. I noticed you just left a comment for me :) Anyway, when's your shower? Is there an exact date? How are things going?

I love those boys! Joy, I know you were more excited than the boys to actually be the title "soccer mom" :)
