Monkey See, Monkey Do...

It's been another good week, with some long days (of course), but I can't complain.
Monday I was able to work in my class all day and get some things organized.
Tuesday I cleaned all day, conquering a list of 25 things that needed to be done around the house. Once I get going, it's fine. Once I sit down and feel bored- is when I start to really focus on how uncomfortable I am and how done I am.
Wednesday, I took the kids to the free movie (although it was Kit Kittredge, American Girl and Luke wasn't the biggest fan). Then Jer came home sick (he's had this HORRIBLE cough that sounds like he's taking his last few breaths, it has been over a week and he's been on antibiotics but it doesn't seem to be getting better). So he took a nap downstairs and they were sleeping upstairs and I felt like I needed to be quiet every where, so it was a long afternoon that day.
Thursday, I got really brave and took both the boys to the Rec Center (since we have passes) and we went swimming. They did great at staying with me and following the rules.
Then on Friday we went to the Library and checked out books and attended story time. We also met Dad for lunch at his work- which is like Disneyland to the boys. This time, on our way out, he gave them both a spider pencil, which they were so excited about that they clutched it tight during their entire naps. It's amazing to see how much they love and admire him. Ian wants to do everything that Dad does. Wear everything, eat everything, and be as big and strong. Luke takes cues from Ian and closely monitors that relationship. Last night Luke was holding my hand while we were walking and let go to check to see if Ian was holding Dad's hand (he wasn't) so Luke quickly said, "I don't want to hold hands mom." He left an entire Popsicle after lunch today to join in a rough house match with Dad and Ian. It warms my heart. Dad even played with them when he felt awful and was coughing up a lung. (be aware that puking and coughing from a man this size seem to be thunderously loud, not a simply "cough" like you or I would experience)

Anyway, last night we took the boys to the Dollar Theater with all their marbles they earned this week. We saw Monsters vs. Aliens. Cute movie and both boys loved it. This morning we got lots of yard work done and the boys excitedly put their yard gloves on and picked up sticks that I have been eyeing but not able to reach for months.....
They are napping and Jer is getting a professional massage right now.....a gift he received from the boys and I for Father's Day.
I should start doing laundry or more cleaning or I'm going to sit and think about how much longer I possibly have to carry around this pumpkin of a belly.
Thank God this is the last time...... ;)

Not much longer. I remember thinking, "...if I didn't KNOW this WILL END......).
