I made it through the week. Swimming lessons are officially over. Both boys did great, graduating with jumping off the diving board. They are far from natural swimmers, so we'll have to do a lot of practice. I also got through VBS this week. (Vacation Bible School). Last year I taught the Bible story portion of it and really enjoyed it. This year when they asked, although I knew what my state would be, I still wanted to go for it. Once I found out that VBS went until 11:45 and their swimming lessons were consequently scheduled on the same week at 12:30- I knew it would be hectic. But we powered through it and it's been a great week. VBS is so different than what it was when I was a kid. It seemed great then, but the programs they have now- are amazing. (Thanks Karen for all your work in the preschool dept! I know Ian and all the others loved it! I appreciate your efforts!)
I taught the Bible story to grades 1st-5th. Although it was a lot of work, (setting up a different scene/hands on experience every day) I think it was well worth it. But.......it's over now. And that is a nice feeling. And hopefully it pushed me even closer to labor. :)
Here are a few pics of the main singing time. You should have seen how decorated the classrooms were. The theme was Crocodile Dock and it was based in a swamp. The kids must have loved it.
They also had fun inside, wrestling and being pirates.....
The boys painted bird feeders last week.
Well, I'm off to see the doctor. I'm not counting on any progress, but it sure would be nice.....
