Well forgive us for blogging such a post and then having no follow-up. It's probably because Jer drafted several and I vetoed all of them. So the continuation will have to wait for now, because I'm not about to tackle it. I think Jer just needs to start his own blog. Nice job with the comments- he loved every one of them. (He was proud to have the record between us....) He loves to write. He writes all our Christmas letters, a few of my papers in college, and any time I need a poem, gift, or something that requires intellect or creativity - HE is my man. Speaking of, we celebrated our 6th anniversary on Sunday. Well- I wouldn't say "celebrated". But it was still special. It's crazy how you become more in a love with a person- as you go through life's journey. The tough times make you stronger, giving you more admiration and appreciation for the person. He is all I ever wanted in a husband, friend, and father of my children. I am SO b.l.e.s.s.e.d.
Well the big news (unbaby related) is that tomorrow I am taking my 2 toddlers and enjoying a 7 hour car ride to Washington. It will probably be 9 hours with our stops and potty breaks. We're going to go visit Grandma in Wenatchee and then another Grandma in Tacoma. I'm just going to be positive, expect to stop a lot, and prepare to tune out a van full of screaming. But I packed like 12 movies, so maybe that will work for a few hours.
Then the next struggle is always- them being exhausted ON the trip. New place, irregular naps, lots of activity, SUN, and both of them woke up with runny noses this morning so they better not have colds.
What's the worst that can happen? At least I'm not on a plane with a million people staring at me, visually begging me to get my kid to shut up. Because on this trip- it's my car and I can just ignore it. Ewww... that reminds me. I better pack some Tylenol.
So I'm anxious for tomorrow to come and just get the drive over with. I have lots of errands to run today- and a list that seems to grow with new ideas every time I mark off an accomplished task.

I am heading to Smalltown with my youngest two in tow as well. My oldest two get to fly out ahead of us and spend some quality time with their grandparents and cousins and then I follow a few weeks later with the little ones. It is a long drive, especially when it's just me and no husband (someone has to stay home and earn money so that I can become accustomed to the lifestyle I hope to have one day;-) Too funny. But a dvd player, a well placed cooler full of snacks and little surprises and a new box of benadryl all make for a smooth trip.
Here's to safe travels and happy campers for both of us!
