It seems that as you go throughout life, there are moments that you have that you consciously recognize as special, happy moments. You feel content. You feel blessed. Or maybe you even feel like you are in a movie. I think of them as these bubbles of joy. I remember experiencing them in high school, (no Tami- not with Barney Randolph), I remember them when I was dating Jeremy- and I love when they happen now. They are just simple moments of contentment. -Where you feel like, "Ahh. All is well." Maybe better than well. They seem to happen either more or less when you have children- depending on the week! :) But when they do- it is such an affirmation of all the hard work, long nights, fights, tears, laughs that you have gone through to reach them. I had one this weekend. Friday night- we went to Carl's Jr. for dinner- the boys played and J & I actually had a conversation. We went and picked out a new movie (What a splurge!)- Peter Pan- (Jer's choice) and went home and made popcorn. I was making the popcorn (well Ian had to push the button and watch it all pop) and I was dishing up the bowls and passing it to them. Since we rearranged our room, we can all 4 sit on the couch with our legs up on the ottoman and watch the T.V. (since it is mounted above the fireplace). I came over with my bowl of popcorn and there they were. Dad in the middle, a little one on both sides, just sitting with their bowl of popcorn, watching Peter Pan. Ahhh.... The hard week was all worth this one moment. The horrible pregnancies all worth this one moment. The sobbing during new baby time, trying to cope, trying to adjust. Worth it. Finding out I was pregnant in the Albertson's bathroom and bawling- worth it. Even if the bubbles are sometimes few and far between, you just want to catch them on your finger and make them last as long as you can, until the next one floats by.
I'll try to catch one today during my 2 hour Walmart grocery trip, but I'm somewhat skeptical.
Oh- and Jer filled the sandbox this weekend. The boys loved it. I'm adjusting to the sand everywhere. I hope I'm cut out for the mess the naturally travels with boys.

I had never heard the albertsons bathroom story - please do a post on it!
Great post - I love moments like that - so simple but with so much meaning.
I love this post. Those moments are the greatest, I completely agree.
