Well- it's been a busy, but good week. Here I am sitting at our subdivision yard sale- hating every moment of the awkward bargaining, waiting, and hoping desperately that someone would simply take the huge 50inch big screen and washer that has been haunting me in my garage for months. Maybe I could pay someone to take it. That's what will happen if no one steps up today. Anyway let's recap the week.
Monday-normal- nothing of significance. Just a surprise meeting after school so I wasn't able to do my running. Went in the evening for a few miles.
Tuesday- my poor babysitter called me early in the morning to say she was really sick and couldn't watch the boys. So I called in for a sub and got a precious day with my babies. It was actually a wonderful day. We went to Walmart and picked up some pictures, new flowers and a few other items I've been needing to get. Then we went to the park and fed the ducks. (a new favorite past time of theirs) They played at the park and then Ian said, "Mom, it's time to go home." It's always nice when we can leave a park without a screaming fit. So we went home, ate lunch and they went down for a fabulous nap. I got stuff ready for the yard sale, planted flowers, weeded, the list continues. I kept checking the clock and it had only been an hour! Yes! I love naptime and the ability to get a few things done. Then they woke up, had snack and we had a little outdoor paint time. Life is soooo much easier when our kids are compliant, isn't it?
Wednesday- Back to work, busy day at school with missing a day and all. Fatty mom sat on the swing set glider and proceeded to slowly swing while playing with the boys. ...Now we need to go to Home Depot for a new hook to hang it with. It busted. Ian kept reminding me that I needed to apologize. Thanks E.
Thursday- Another busy day. Had friends over for dinner and The Office Finale. Pretty good. But I'm a little bothered by the shaft that we have all gotten by half of the season -the writers being on strike. Whatev. We might just rent the DVDs all season.
Friday- "Ride Your Bike to Work Day" and you better believe that I participated. It was a beautiful morning to do it, too! The weather was wonderful and I just put on some worship music and cruised into town. My backpack got a little sticky to my back but- oh well. TGIF!
We went out to dinner at Idaho Pizza and the boys did remarkably well. Stopped by for a milkshake at Sonic and then home for a water gun fight. Ian seems to dish it out but not like to take it. Luke, on the other hand, LOVES even COLD water dumped on him, sprayed at him-everything!
Gotta beat Jer in rummy while we wait for this thing to be over. Have a fun weekend everyone!
